‘Pirates of the Caribbean the Curse of the Black Pearl’ was released in cinemas in June 2003. The movies focus on the swashbuckling adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow and his friends and foes, as they venture the dangerous tides of the Caribbean sea. The movie has so far had three sequels – ‘Dead Mans Chest’ from 2006, ‘At Worlds End’ from 2007 and finally ‘On Stranger Tides’ from 2011.

So, you think you got what it takes to be Jack Sparrow?

The pirates that sail the waters of the carribean are every bit as foul smelling and rum quenching as you would imagine. Wooden legs, rum, eyepatches, rum, bandanas, rum, eyeliner, rum, dreadlocks, rum, hooks, rum, beards, rum and parrots are among the few things that describe the inhabitants of Tortuga (the only pirates-only-island in the Caribbean). But not all pirates on these tides are your everyday human being. Undead pirates, cursed from Aztec gold (but they still have rum!), are doomed to sail until the end of days. Davy Jones and his minions covered in barnacles aboard the flying Dutchman also makes the waters unsafe, especially because of his fearsome monster – the Kraken.

Let your inspiration flow and dress up as the pirate you always wanted to be. There are no strings, but it is of course mandatory for all pirates to bring a jar of dirt (and rum, Arrrr!) so we can keep safe!

So you laddies think you have what it takes t’ be a pirate and join the golden oscar battle? Arrrrr! Set sail, every man on deck and sail t’ black pearl towards victory!
